Preparing the Prank

There’s a bit of preparation to do for this bucks party prank. It works best if you have a bungee jump close to where you’re hosting the bucks party, or to be able to convince the buck that there’s a new bungee spot open close to home.

You can either set it up as a bungee into water – you know, a pool, pond, river or lake – or a bungee onto a mattress.

If you want to make it the bungee jump prank into water, make sure you find a clean body of water. You don’t want the fun of watching him duck dive two feet ruined by having to rush him to hospital.

Alternatively, you can set it up so the buck lands on a soft mattress. Again, make sure the drop isn’t so far that the buck’s duck dive will result in having to see nurse betty.

You’ll also need to make sure there a launch-pad for the buck to bungee from. You could build a small landing or find a jetty or landing you can set up the prank up at.

Finally, get a hold of a harness and rope to make it seem legit that you’re strapping the buck into the bungee harness. To make it seem really legit, see if you can rope in a couple of people the buck doesn’t know to meet you at the ‘bungee location’ so he hears unfamiliar voices that reassure him everything will be OK, all the while the best man and the rest of the party goers are jeering the buck!

Now, with the location set, props ready to go and strangers lines up, it’s time to prep the buck.

On the Day

It’s the day of the bucks party. Tell the buck he’s going to do a bungee jump… make it really nasty. Stir him, taunt him, give him a hard time. Lay it on really thick. Don’t forget to dress him up in an awesome bungee costume, after all, you want him looking his best!

Then blindfold him, make sure he can’t see a thing, and put him in the car to drive him to the bungee jump site. Take your time. The longer you drive around, the more disorientated he’ll get and have no idea where he’s going. Also, it give you more time to stir him up!

The more anxious you can make him the better. You want him in cold sweats by the time he gets to the bungee prank location. If he cries a few tears it wouldn’t be a terrible thing.

Have the strangers greet him and offer some reassuring words as they strap him into the harness, making sure the bucks blindfold stays on the whole time. Lead him out onto the launch-pad and wait for him to take the plunge.

The Result

Watch his world of surprise as he plunges into the water or lands face first onto the mattress. You’ll probably hear a gasp of surprise, followed by a sigh of relief and closed out with a belly full of laughs.

And the best thing is it’s all in the name of hazing the buck and having a great time.

Let’s reflect on the highlights that have helped form her illustrious career, and no doubt helped motivate Mr Martinez to pop the question…

The story

Getting away for the weekend is the best way to do a bucks party.

I’ve read a lot of stories about parties with strippers, strippers and more strippers, but at the end of the day, you don’t really need that for a great weekend.

I went on a bucks party for one of my mates down to Bateman’s Bay where we just rented a house and about a dozen of the boys went down for a weekend of drinks and laughs.

The story

About 20 boys, a 4.30am start and an ocean full of fish made for a great Bucks Party send-off for our fishing mad mate, JC.

We all headed down to Bateman’s Bay after work on Friday afternoon to make sure we could get a good night sleep the night before the fishing charter was booked. Well, great idea that was. We got there, set up the house we’d rented (read put the beer in the fridge and sat down to enjoy some brews) and we all went to bed not long before we had to get up to head to the wharf.

We had to hire two boats because of our numbers. This was probably a good thing given the state pretty much everyone was in…

Now, it was hard to tell if everyone was adding burley to the water because they were sea sick they were hung over or because of the diesel fumes. The buck, being one of the prime burley offenders,, made the diesel fumes the scape-goats on this occasion. We let him have it, but only because it was his bucks party!!

After a full day out on the seven seas, being taken to some pretty good spots, we got back to the gloat about our conquests and compare hurling stories.

Since most of us didn’t sleep the previous night, pretty much all of us fell asleep by 10pm! Maybe not the most memorable night on night number two, but that’s only because we had so much fun on the first night!!

But enough philosophising, this is about things to do for the man of the moment, things that he’ll never forget and memories he’ll take with him for the rest of his life.

Those three little words – back, crack and sack – will bring tears to your eyes when you see the groom-to-be having the Amazon forest ripped from his body. But it will also find that part of you that you know is wrong, but can’t help but be intrigued and amused.

There will probably be a few uncomfortable sniggers as the tension builds as hot wax is spread over the offending areas. But don’t despair, this will convert into a crowd-wide roar of laughter as the blood-curdling scream comes from the buck.

If you’re going to do this, make sure you get some professionals in. While it’s fun to see the silky smooth complexion that’s been hidden since puberty kicked in, it’s not so much fun to see rivers of blood that can start flowing if the hair is removed along with the first five layers of skin.

The story

Jordo’s bucks party was one the whole soon-to-be family could enjoy. His best mates, father, father-in-law to be and brother-in-law to be all attended.

The night started out with ‘high-speed antics’ at the Kingston Park Raceway go-kart track in Brisbane. We booked in advance to make we could get the track put aside so our bucks party could race against each other without any randoms on the track. We did share the track with another bucks party, but that gave us a well needed break between races to recover and share the laughs of the race just gone.

Go-karting was an awesome choice for the bucks party. We got all of us on the track at once and took turns at boxing the buck in so he couldn’t get in front. We bumped him from behind and ‘accidently’ braked hard when he was right behind us… For someone that always likes to win, it was a very tormenting night for him!!

But the slippery bastard managed to get past us a few times… or should I say we let him sneak through the gaps every now and then… and got a checkered flag or two. But our racing antics managed to keep him off the podium at the end of the night!!

Turns out the buck wasn't the winner on the night... welcome to married life my friend!

After burning rubber all afternoon, we went home, got changed and headed out to the Casino. Now, this is where Jordo was in his domain!! Black Jack is his game and win he did!!! He couldn’t place a bet wrong, which is more than I could say for the majority of the rest of us who watched as our chips were swept away time and time again by the dealer.

But that said, it was an awesome bucks night. Importantly, it was a night that Jordo’s father and father-in-law to be could go to without the worry of painting a bad picture of the buck. We all punted the night away, had some beers, shared some laughs and spun some fun stories about the buck.
